Brasov is located in central Romania and can be reached by train (2h30 min from Bucharest North train station).

 

Henri Coandă Otopeni International Airport is the largest and closest international airport, located 12 km north of Bucharest. A direct train is from the international airport to Bucharest North train station. The service is available 24 hours a day, at 40-minute intervals. The trip is around 20-25 minutes. The ticket cost is around 1.1 EURO and can be bought online (From: Aeroport Henri Coandă, To: București Nord), from the ticket machines located in the stations but also from the ticket offices located in the stations and CFR Călători agencies.

From Bucharest to Brasov, you can buy train tickets online (From: București Nord, To: Brașov), and the prices vary from 7 to 13 euros.

The transfer from Henri Coandă Otopeni International Airport to Brasov can also be done by minibuses. They can pick you up at the airport and drop you in front of your hotel in Brasov. There are minibuses about half an hour each, but the seat must be booked a couple of days before the flight (DirectAeroport, M&M Express, Kron Transfer).

 

There is also a new international airport in Brasov (GHV),  with a few international flights.
